New Structures and Procedures
Brief Explanation of PLCs
PLCs are collaborative teams that focus on student learning. The idea behind PLCs is that educators should be continuously learning. This concentration on continuous learning and collaboration will bring about positive changes in the classroom. The aim of PLCs is to increase student academic achievement.
Effective PLC Procedures
When creating and implementing a PLC educators should focus on four questions (Common Formative Assessment)
|
What information do teachers want students to know? How teachers know what the students are learning? What do the teachers do when the students are not learning? How do teachers respond when students have already learned the material? |
